New Orleans

We went to New Orleans to get married, and took some pics while down there.

These was taken through a window on Royale Street.

I have to assume these guys listen to lots of Bee Mask.

I work for a tattoo magazine, always fascinated by tattoos of people with tattoos, worlds within worlds, or masks with mask wearing people painted within.

The oak we were married under.

My favorite person I met on our trip, John T. Martin, or Voodoo Priest Dr. John, proprietor of the Historic Voodoo Museum, New Orleans. The snake is Jolie Vert, and you can pet her if you like. http://www.myspace.com/voodoomuseum
He suggested that Jillian should open a museum dedicated to the atrocities of the Catholic church. He is a pretty amazing character and if he takes a liking to you will tell you all sorts of cool little gems about what it is like to be a multigenerational druid and to be initiated into voodoo by your nanny.

17 years ago I met the most important person in my life. We dated, we didn’t date, we dated again, didn’t, we were friends, not friends, really not friends, then slowly things started to mend. She moved to San Francisco and would visit when she would come see her family in Cleveland. I would make her hold my hand and go on walks even though we both had significant others. I would savor every moment I had with her.
We eventually found our way back in each others arms, and moved to Brooklyn, New York. For the first time in my life it seemed like things were falling into place. Before this it just seemed like I was drifting along, finally I felt like there was reason in the world.
We were married in a not so traditional but very beautiful ceremony under a 600 year old oak in City Park, New Orleans on March 28, 2009. All my dreams came true that afternoon. I have been in love her since the moment I met her and I will love her until the universe closes up shop.
